If you love dogs and like helping people, the answer may be Yes! Handi-Dogs Inc. offers a number of services to the community. Our Training Program for people with disabilities and their dogs has achieved extensive recognition. We owe a large measure of our success to the enthusiastic and effective participation of our Volunteers.

Handi-Dogs Volunteers work hard. Many have been with us for years. Why? They say the work is satisfying, stimulating and fun!

Eligibility

You need a love of dogs, a desire to help people, a willingness to learn, and some time to dedicate to a valuable service.

Training

Training sessions are provided as part of your orientation to the organizations and to our programs.

Areas of Service

• Training Assistance: Volunteers assist staff and clients in class and in public.

• Office and Administration: Volunteers are often the first contact for those seeking information about our services.

• Fund-raising: Handi-Dogs Inc. is a non-profit organization supported by donations and grants. Volunteers help with essential fund-raising projects.

• Presentation Program: Volunteers are trained to represent Handi-Dogs Inc., at local events. They provide information about and demonstrations of service dog work.
